The Clarins Group is committed to making its websites accessible in accordance with Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on the accessibility requirements for products and services.

Our websites have been designed with the aim of making them accessible to all, especially people with visual impairments. They follow the recommendations of the RAWeb and the standards set by the W3C.

The https://www.clarins.co.uk/ site is non-compliant with the RAWeb, which includes the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level single A (A) and double A (AA), due to the non-conformances and derogations listed below.

Test results

The compliance audit carried out by the company Ferpection reveals that the site complies with 44.74% of the RAWeb criteria. This percentage of RAWeb criteria met is obtained by dividing the number of validated criteria by the number of applicable criteria.

The average compliance rate is obtained by averaging the compliance rates of each page (at the test level). Thus, the average compliance rate on our site is 68.54%.

  • Several decoration images are not ignored by assistive technologies;
  • Information-carrying interface components have a contrast ratio of less than 3:1;
  • Several links have an accessible name that does not contain the visible title;
  • Several elements are currently buttons acting as links, and vice versa;
  • Tags are used for presentation purposes;
  • In some pages, the use of headings is irrelevant;
  • The structure of the documents does not meet several conditions. For example, <header> tags are not declared;
  • The input control is not always relevant and error messages do not contain a format indication;
  • The roles of the large areas of the pages are not populated.
