Native to the tropical forests of Australia, the macadamia tree can reach around 15m in height and its bright green, evergreen leaves are popular for their ornamental value. It produces a nut whose edible creamy-white seed has a delicate flavour.
Skincare benefits of Organic macadamia oil
In cosmetics, the organic macadamia oil obtained from the macadamia nut, high in a very rare fatty acid very similar to sebum, is used to nourish and protect the skin and the lips.
Responsible sourcing
Protecting the soil and biodiversity is a longstanding commitment at Clarins. That’s why we have always given priority to plant-based active ingredients sourced from organic agriculture, grown using sustainable farming methods that respect nature and the health of the soil. Our macadamia oil is organically-certified and obtained using a natural and environmentally-friendly extraction process.
