find a cure for the most serious arthritis
Founded by Jacques Courtin-Clarins, this association has made it possible to further the research efforts for polyarthritis and chronic inflammatory rheumatism.
In 1989, Jacques Courtin-Clarins founded the Polyarthritis Research Association. Under the presidency of his son, Dr. Olivier Courtin-Clarins, it became the Courtin Arthritis Foundation in 2006. The Foundation has three goals:
1. Promote and support research on the causes of the most severe forms of arthritis.
2. Encourage the discovery and the evaluation of innovative therapies for these diseases.
3. Help disseminate information about these diseases, their prevention and how to improve the quality of life of those afflicted. This is done via communication campaigns and training sessions (in a partnership with the French National Medical Research Institute).

Today, 20 years after its creation, The Courtin Arthritis Foundation is a unique source of private financing for arthritis research. It is widely recognized as having paved the way for a quality level of French research.
