Ever Matte Skin Balancing Foundation SPF 15
After sampling all their foundations, this is the only one that works. It's light but has the perfect coverage in such a small amount. Worth the money! I would suggest this to all oily skinned people. Just heaven in a sleek beautiful bottle.

Worth every penny!
I've spent years trying to find a foundation that suits my oily skin and this is by far the best. I team it with a good oil free primer and matifying powder to get me through the working day. The nice smell and good consistency are an added bonus.

I struggled to find a foundation that suits my pale, combination skin as many foundations look to orange and dry my skin out. This foundation is good if you want a natural look, i would not recommend it if you use a serious about of coverage. Its not greasy so its fab for oily skin yet it doesn't dry your skin out :).

Could be lovely, but...
My initial impression with this foundation was good... It smells gorgeous and has a lovely texture, goes on smoothly with a matte yet slightly luminous (not dewy or shiny) glow, which I love because other matte foundations I have tried have a very dry appearance, which made my skin look dull. I also like the promise of it balancing my problem skin, though I don't think I have been using it for long enough to see any benefits yet.
The coverage in my opinion, is light to medium and isn't really buildable. Unfortunately, Ever Matte doesn't stay matte as long as other foundations I have used and isn't as long wearing, but nothing a quick touch of powder won't fix
Now, here's my problem, and it's big enough for me to write off this foundation and all others by Clarins too... I selected the lightest shade available and, in spite of my 'fairness' being nowhere near the levels of Nicola Roberts, this foundation is just TOO dark. Not just a smidge too dark, so dark that it appears orange on my face. Sorry Clarins, last time I checked 'Ivory' is not the shade of orange I preferred to be in high school. I believe they did once offer a shade lighter than Ivory (looking at other reviews), but decided to discontinue it, and god knows why.
While I'm on a colour rant, their shade range is extremely limited at the other end of the spectrum too, there is absolutely no offering to dark skin tones whatsoever, which I'm sure everyone will agree is just wrong!
Sorry Clarins, your foundation formulation may well be beautiful, but I doubt I'll be back until you have a reevaluation of the shades you offer.
